ABOUT

A software studio in Toronto, run by the person who writes the code

I'm happiest where a language model meets a real system. The interesting failures are rarely in the prompt. They're in the schema underneath it, or the permission check nobody got around to writing.

Irix Studio Inc. is a software studio in Toronto. We build the systems a business actually runs on, and we hand them over properly: your repository, your accounts, your deploys. The work we are best at is the part that is easy to get quietly wrong. Access control that holds up when someone goes looking. Data models that do not need a migration every sprint. AI features that keep their promises once real people are using them. Deploys boring enough to run on a Friday.

Who you are actually hiring

Irix Studio Inc. is Yousef Majidi. Every project runs through me, start to finish, and when a specialist joins for part of one you are told who and which part. There is no account manager between you and the person making the decisions, which is the main reason to hire a studio this size rather than a larger one.

Before the studio I built generative-AI systems for an app-generation platform, and worked on Azure AI at Seneca Polytechnic. The same instinct shows up in client work: prove the permissions rather than assume them, model the data once, and make the deploy boring enough to run on a Friday.

Who this is for

Founders who need a first product built properly, and owner-operators whose business has outgrown the spreadsheet holding it together. Both want the same thing: one system that works, built by someone who will still be reachable when a question comes up six months later.

A studio this size is the wrong choice for work that needs several engineers in parallel from day one. If that is what you have, you will be told on the call rather than three weeks into it.

How the work runs

  1. 01
    Scoping call
Thirty minutes. What you need, what it costs, and whether we are the right studio for it.
  2. 02
    Fixed proposal
Scope, price and dates in writing within two business days. No hourly estimate that drifts.
  3. 03
    Weekly builds
Something running on a real URL every week, so progress is visible rather than reported.
  4. 04
    Handover
Your repository, your accounts, your deploys, and a walkthrough. Support afterwards if you want it.
